In autumn, a robotic complex for zinc stockpiling was installed at Kazzinc Ridder Metallurgical Site.

Metal resulted from cathode zinc sheets melting in induction furnace is casted into casting wheel moulds. Once cooled down the ingots are transported via conveyor belt to the robotic complex. The robot takes one ingot at a time and stockpiles 54 pieces in each stack in a certain sequence. Then, the saleable zinc goes to the Finished Goods Storage where it is cooled down, bundled and shipped to the consumer.

A distinctive feature of the complex is the possibility to program precise height of ingot lifting and other parameters. Also, the robot has high safety level.
