The largest gold producing operation in Kazakhstan, Altyntau Kokshetau in Akmola Region, is a Kazzinc business. The mined ore is treated in a multi-stage process at a streamlined concentrator. Dore alloy is sent to the Precious Metals Refinery in Ust-Kamenogorsk Metallurgical Complex.
Enriched gold-bearing feed from Altay and Ridder mines also ends up here.
The Precious Metals Refinery produces finished product, refined gold bars, in a proprietary process.
