Sergei Panasyuk, Zinc Plant Roaster Operator, Ust-Kamenogorsk Metallurgical Complex, was awarded with the “Shapagat” medal for his efforts in strengthening peace, friendship and cooperation between peoples and for promoting the national language.
This award was presented to him personally by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan.
Please be reminded that in 2023 Sergei was recognized as the best young professional in the East Kazakhstan region. The 32-year-old metallurgist made his way to be successful in his profession, he became a foreman and a mentor. Being one of the top performing mentors in Kazzinc operations requires good Kazakh language skills among many other skills. Thanks to his father Sergei started learning Kazakh in his early childhood.
