On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence Alexander Khmelev, Kazzinc CEO, was awarded the title of "Қазақстанның Еңбек Ері" (Hero of Labour of Kazakhstan) by the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
The badge of honor was solemnly presented to Alexander Khmelev by the President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev himself.
This award is considered the utmost honor in Kazakhstan and is awarded for outstanding accomplishments in the economic, social and humanitarian development of the country. As of today only 40 people have earned this honorary title in Kazakhstan.
Kazzinc, headed by Alexander Leonidovich, achieved remarkable performance results for its almost 25 years of operation and became one of the leaders in non-ferrous metallurgy of Kazakhstan. Alexander Khmelev also makes important decisions on Kazzinc’s investments in local community.
