Kazzinc Partners Forum - an annual reporting event, in which one of the largest mining and metallurgical companies in the country discusses cooperation with small and medium-sized businesses took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The meeting ended with the signing of offtake contracts and memoranda in the amount of 18 billion tenge. This was possible thanks to the unique Seriktes competition initiated by metallurgists.

Contractors and suppliers of Kazzinc, representatives of state authorities, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, and public organizations became participants in the Partners' Forum. The company's management addressed the results of work for the year and shared plans for the future.

Metallurgists are trying to use the most modern methods to find ways to expand import substitution. In addition to the previous work, on 1 September, 2022, Kazzinc launched the Seriktes business project competition, which is symbolically translated as “Partner”. One of the tasks is to actively integrate into the agenda for the development of in-country value, to find new directions for import substitution. The competition turned out to be extremely popular among SMEs. During the first four months, 130 applications were studied, 48 projects were accepted for consideration.

The culmination of the Partners Forum was the procedure for concluding memoranda and offtake contracts within Seriktes worth more than 18 billion tenge with 13 domestic manufacturers, involving more than 1,200 local employees. Among the significant projects, one can single out the guaranteed placement of an order for the construction of Soda Ash Production Plant, as well as the expansion of the range of existing production facilities for mining and metallurgical equipment. Within the framework of the competition, memoranda were also concluded for social projects - the digitization of ancient rock art, as well as a school of robotics and increase in the list of products of the Blind Association.
