Kazzinc participated in the Astana Mining & Metallurgy (AMM) conference, a large-scale industry event in the mining and metallurgical industry. This is the largest platform for industry professionals in Kazakhstan. Representatives of the largest company in the East Kazakhstan region took part in sessions on strategic development, spoke about the digital projects of the company and its social development. In addition, Kazzinc specialists shared their experience in strengthening relations with domestic producers of goods, works and services within the framework of a unique “Seriktes” contest for Kazakhstani entrepreneurs.
The high point of the AMM congress was the awarding of the “Golden Hephaestus” professional award. This is a prestigious prize for specialists of mining and metallurgical companies. This year Kazzinc was awarded two statuettes at once.
Yelena Mazayeva, a crane operator at the Zinc Smelter of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Metallurgical Complex, Kazzinc, was awarded with the honorary title "Woman in the Mining and Metallurgical Complex". She has been working in production for 37 years. Yelena makes a valuable contribution to creating an accessible environment for people with disabilities.
The initiative of metallurgists to create a special video monitoring center, where dozens of people with special hearing needs work, was recognized as the best social project of the year. They monitor safety at the company's production sites online. The creation of the center in Ust-Kamenogorsk allowed 60 people with hearing disabilities to join the region's largest production process, while providing themselves with additional income to their state pensions and gaining new experience and skills.
