Torpedo hockey players and Kazzinc metallurgists visited the Regional Mother and Child Care Center (Regional Children’s Hospital) to present the New Year gifts to young patients.
The annual campaign had another format this year due to COVID-19. Hundreds of Ust-Kamenogorsk residents joined the campaign to support children who spent the New Year in hospital. Popular bloggers helped collecting the toys.
Also, Torpedo hockey players purchased over a hundred toys for the Regional Hospital and Kazzinc added boxes of sweets to each gift.
It should be recalled that Kazzinc, together with the Torpedo Sports Club used to run the charity campaign ‘Our greatest wins - for children!’ every year. The fans used to bring toys with them when they attended the December games of the hockey team and threw the toys onto the ice rink after the final buzzer had sounded. The Torpedo players brought gifts to the Children Hospital and Kazzinc supplemented each toy with sweets and a soft cap.
