This is the fourth year in a row that Kazzinc grants the ‘Kindly Heart’ award. Award winners are East-Kazakhstan citizens who risked their lives to save other people during the year. The nominees are elected by popular vote. In such a way, thousands of people become aware of courageous acts of common citizens and participate in the nominee selection.
This year, on the pre-qualification stage, social media users proposed 13 candidatures of valiants from among East-Kazakhstan citizens. The popular vote participants whose number was over 13,000, selected the winners:
Dias Agzamov and Azamat Ibraikhanov - police officers who observed the fire during a street patrol, and rescued four people from the burning house.
Nurbek Tokushev - a RK armed forces pensioner, saved his neighbor from fire.
Artem Borovikov, a student, dived in the ice-cold Irtysh river to rescue a woman who fell through the ice.
All the heroes were awarded with memorable statuettes and money prizes during the Metallurgist’s Day online concert. The participants extended their thanks to the Company for its involvement and wished success to all metallurgists and miners on the holiday eve.
