The “BIZDIN ASPAN” (“OUR SKY”) event held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, gathered relevant governmental structures, NGOs, industrial companies and activists. The event has provided an opportunity for all the participants to share their visions and experience in burning environmental issues.
The dialogue platform was hosted by ECOJER Kazakstani Association sponsored by the Ministry for Ecology and Natural Resources. and the Akimat of the East Kazakhstan.
The key feature of the event was that various civil environmental initiatives were reviewed. The participants were able to express their opinions and discuss problems of ambient air condition, gasification, comfortable and eсofriendly urban environment, as well as outlooks for implementing new technologies. Dozens of green projects were presented which will help reduce burden on air, soil and water resources.
ECOJER noted that today there are more environmentally responsible communities in regions - from activists to companies who integrate sustainable practices in their development strategies.
Based on the outcomes of the event, participants’ proposals will be submitted to the government and major industry representatives for review.
