Astana honors ordinary Kazakhstani citizens and large businesses who contributed greatly to the combat with the spring floods.
Zhanat Zhanbotin, Kazzinc CEO, received the award from the hands of President Kasym- Zhomart Tokayev.
At the meeting in the capital, the President noted that the floods were some of the largest in the recent history of the country. More than 120 thousand people across the country were evacuated, more than 19 thousand homes were damaged.
The company allocated over 6.5 billion tenge to combat the consequences of floods and restore the destroyed houses.FF
