Children from a suburban district Shygys now have an opportunity to study programming and robotics. “IT-Kids” school was launched in a local public library.
A one-year program includes programming, 3D modeling, 3D printing and robotics. Students take their classes free of charge in small groups formed according to their age, in Kazakh or Russian language.
School children will assemble simple models of robots from details of engineering kits for kids, and then will program their behavior. Children will learn how to write codes for websites and mobile applications, develop computer games. A designated IT lab was equipped in the local library for the children to master this essential competence. State of the art equipment was installed there. Central Library System initiated and facilitated this low-cost advanced learning project for children living in uptown of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Kazzinc helped to procure the equipment.
