In 2011, the Copper Plant - one of the most important projects in the history of Kazzinc - was put into operation. In February 2021, the Copper Plant celebrated the first anniversary event - the 10 Millionth Copper Cathode was harvested in the UKMC Copper Refinery.

On February 24, a jubilee batch of the ‘red metal’ was produced in UKMC Copper Refinery. A special crane accompanied by the solemn music, brought in the 10 millionth copper cathode. After that, the top performers were awarded.

The Copper Plant was put into operation in 2011. The construction lasted for 4 years. More than 5’000 technical experts from 10 countries were involved in the project implementation. Today it is a modern enterprise with innovative metallurgical processes designed by the leading Australian, German, Japanese, Austrian and Swedish companies.
