Administration of East Kazakhstan region and the mining company signed a memorandum for Kazzinc to donate over 1.5 billion tenge for social projects in 2024.
Under the memorandum it is planned to provide new equipment to the regional hospital, Mother and Child Center, medical and educational institutions of Ridder and Altay. The money will also be used to replace water pipelines in Serebryansk, equip the House of Culture in Altay and playgrounds.
Akimat of East Kazakhstan region supports the company's initiative and, according to the memorandum, will also allocate funds from the budget to renovate roads, backyards, and social facilities in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ridder, Altay and Serebryansk.
Looking back, at the end of 2023 Kazzinc organized a campaign Arman Kala (‘The City of Dreams’) in East Kazakhstan, where residents of the region could submit their social, cultural, educational, medical and infrastructural projects to be implemented. The most interesting ideas were chosen in a social media voting by East Kazakhstan communities. Metallurgists together with the regional Akimat have approved the projects that can be implemented in the near future.
