The awards ceremony took place at the Kazakhstan International Occupational Safety and Health exhibition - KIOSH 2023, where best industrial companies were awarded for their achievements in safety and health. Employees of Altay Mining and Concentrating Complex and KazzincMash machine-building subdivision received diplomas and statuettes of the SENYM OHS contest.
This is the only event held in the country for Safety professionals.
Sergey Shulgin, a Hydromet Operator of the Altay Concentrator, won the “Best Occupational Safety Inspector” nomination. Sergey has been with the Company for 10 years. He is convinced that when leaving work, everyone should be sure that they will return home healthy and safe.
The second place in the “Best Safety Team” was taken by KazzincMash. The machine builders from Ridder demonstrated by their example what the Health and Safety system looks like across the Company. The Company employee talked about the key tool - SafeWork Project, a program which aims to combine best practices in this area.
