On October 20, Igor Medvedev, furnace operator of Lead Plant, Ust-Kamenogorsk Metallurgical Complex, Kazzinc Ltd, rescued two neighbors from the fire.
On that day he was at the summer house with his family. Igor’s wife told him about smoke coming out of the neighbor’s roof. Igor immediately went there to help. He took out of the burning house his neighbors - a man and a woman. A fire brigade and ambulance car arrived to the place of the incident shortly.
Igor Medvedev doesn’t consider it heroic and thinks that anyone would have done the same.
