The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in togyzkumalak among juniors and youth took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The large-scale event was supported by Kazzinc. More than 350 players from 19 teams strove for victory.
Togyzkumalak is one of the oldest Kazakh national board games in which players compete in logic and wit.
The best players in four age categories were selected at the Championship: 15, 17, 19 and 21 years old. In total, there were 96 prize winners. Among them are future participants of the World Cup, which will be held in Uzbekistan this summer.
