At Kazzinc’s gold deposit in the Akmola region, the first bucket of rock mass has been excavated from the expanded section of the open-pit mine. This milestone marks a significant step in the project to scale up production and transition to a hybrid mining model.
ATK plans to move to a combined extraction method in the near future, utilizing both underground and open-cast mining models.
