TOP SOCIAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD
 The results of the “Paryz-2009” corporate social responsibility competition (est. 2008 by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev) have been announced. The competition was set up to evaluate the social contributions of business structures to their communities and to demonstrate examples of social partnership undertaken by select companies.
Kazzinc was awarded in the “Best Social Project” nomination. The Company presented one of its latest social projects “Looking for my Mother”, which aims to support as many children left without parental care as possible to find new families.
“One can only really be considered a true entrepreneur when one begins to tackle the problems of the community surrounding them, improving the quality of their lives. Our society must develop a great degree of trust in entrepreneurs creating real ethics and values, improving our national well-being, bringing prosperity to each home.” - said Nursultan Nazarbaev said during the award ceremony held in the Congress Hall in Astana. 28 companies from 321 nominations were awarded on the occasion.
