KAZZINC WINS TENDER FOR GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION AND MINING
 Kazzinc was recently awarded the tender by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan for exploration and mining rights in the Kostanai and Eastern Kazakhstan regions. Following the results of the tender Kazzinc will enter into a contract for exploration of non-ferrous and precious metals in the Sakharovsko-Adaevsky (734.4 sq.km) and Karabaitalsky districts of the Kostanai region. In the Eastern Kazakhstan region exploration for non-ferrous metals and primary Gold will be carried out in the Butachikhinsko-Kedrovsky district (700 sq.km), while mining and exploration rights have also been granted to the Chekmar polymetallic deposit (6.9 sq.km).
